Jajpur, June 6: Death comes once, but surprisingly a mid aged man is said to be died twice at Bartanda village under Sukinda police limit in Jajpur on Saturday. The man has been identified as Nilamani Pradhan(46), son of Basia Pradhan of Bartanda. Nilamani came off from his funeral after his kith set fire at the crematorium and became alive for few hours. However, he died in the evening once again, that became a mystery for the locals. Sources said, Nilamani died due to food poison on Saturday at about 12.30 PM. Doctor of Sukinda Community Health centre declared him dead. Accordingly, he was carried to the crematorium on a hearse for the last rites. His kith set the funeral fire on, after the villagers performed the traditional rituals. However, Nilamani waked up from the funereal fire few minutes after it flamed high. Watching him sit erect, the villagers brought him off from the fire. To every ones’ surprise, he became conscious and gestured to take him home. Accordingly he was taken home back and fed with liquid food. However, he leaned against the wall and became unresponsive after about three hours. As a result, he was rushed to the nearest community health centre once again. The doctor declared him dead for the second time. Out of suspicion, they cross checked it in the Danagadi community health centre. The doctors confirmed the death of Nilamani. Following which, his last rites was performed after an autopsy.
