Mamita Meher murder case: State Commission for Women to visit victim's residence, crime spot

Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: The Odisha State Commission for Women (SCW) Chairperson Namita Behera will visit the family of Mamita Meher at her residence in Jharni village in Bolangir's Tureikela to take stock of the situation after the Mamita Meher murder case. Behera will also visit the crime spot at Mahaling. At least a four-member team of the State Commission for Women including its Chairperson will meet the family members of the deceased at her residence. Mamita Meher, a teacher of Sunshine English Medium School in Mahaling of Kalahandi district, had been missing for 11 days. The police found the decomposed dead body buried in the ground of the school stadium. The police arrested the prime accused Govind Sahu and his close associate Radheshyam Chandi in this matter.
