Chennai, September 7: A Malaysia Airlines flight operating from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah was diverted to Chennai on Monday following a technical issue involving one of its engines, prompting the airport authorities to declare a full emergency, an official said.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH 156, carrying 186 people, landed safely at Chennai airport after being diverted, the official said.
Emergency response arrangements were activated at the airport as a precautionary measure following the reported technical problem involvingEngine No. 2.
