Bhubaneswar, June 16:The Odisha Forest Department has carried out a major reshuffle at the level of Assistant Conservators of Forests (ACFs) and Forest Rangers. The Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change has issued a notification transferring 61 ACFs to various forest divisions and institutions, while 124 Rangers have been assigned new postings across the state.
According to the notification, Manoj Kumar Patra of Samantapalli Forest Range in Berhampur, Sangram Mohanty of Chandaka Forest Division, Uttar Kumar Gadnayak of Bhubaneswar City Division, Yashwant Karali of Sambalpur Circle and Akshaya Chhatria of Champua Forest Range have been appointed as Divisional Managers-in-Charge in the Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC).
Several other ACFs have been transferred to different organisations and institutions, including the Chilika Development Authority, Silviculture Divisions, the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC), Forest Training Schools (FTS), the Odisha Forest Rangers College (OFRC), and the Forest Cell Wing under the Office of the Superintendent of Police (Vigilance).
Meanwhile, the transfer order of Sushanta Kumar Jena, who was serving as an ACF in the Angul (Kendu Leaf) Forest Division, has been cancelled. He had earlier been transferred to the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force. However, on administrative grounds, the government has decided to retain him in his current post, and he will continue to serve as ACF in the Angul (Kendu Leaf) Forest Division.
