Maha Bishuba Sankranti being observed in Odisha today

Bhubaneswar: The Maha Bishuba Sankranti is being observed by Hindus amid much religious fervour and serenity across Odisha today.
The Odia New Year begins on the day. Besides, the day is perceived very pious as Hanuman Jayanti is observed on the day.
Devotees thronged Shiva Temples in large numbers and offered Chhatua bhog to the lord.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik have conveyed good wishes to people on the day.
