Maa Samaleswari temple to remain open on Nuakhai festival

Sambalpur, Sep 9: Maa Samaleswari temple, Sambalpur will remain open for the devotees on the Nuakhai festival. The Samaleswari Temple Trust Board and Sambalpur district administration issued notifications in this connection on Thursday. According to Board President Sanjay Babu, Maa Samaleswari temple will be opened for devotees from 12.30 PM to 5.30 PM on Nuakhai. Common devotees can have their darshans of the deity during the stipulated time with strict adherence to Covid protocols. However, bhogs and other articles related to worship are not allowed into the temple. Worth mentioning, Nuakhai is a community festival of Western Odisha in which people worship Maa Samaleswari after having Nabanna, a new pudding prepared from the newly harvested crops.
