Live pangolin rescued, two arrested in Balangir

Balangir, April 08: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha police rescued a live pangolin and arrested two wildlife smugglers in Balangir on Friday.
The smugglers have been identified as Hemasagar Mahananda of Khaliapalli village and Jagabandhu Paraja of Ainapalli village in Balangir district.
On the basis of reliable information regarding smuggling of wildlife products by wildlife criminals, a team of STF conducted a raid with the help of Balangir forest officials last night on the public road of Ainthapalli under Tusura police limits.
