Cuttack, Aug 27: Lord Ganesha, revered as the Primordial deity- first deity to be worshipped before all others was remembered in a unique way this Ganesh Chaturthi. The Jibedaya Foundation organised an awareness campaign across several streets of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar blending devotion with a message of compassion and environmental care.

A young boy, Gaurav Raj Swain, dressed as ‘Bal Ganesh,’ walked through the streets carrying placards and spreading awareness among the public. His symbolic acts included feeding cows, showing affection to stray dogs, and planting saplings- portraying as if Lord Ganesha himself had descended on earth to inspire people to build a healthier and more beautiful world.

At various locations, the child artist highlighted how plastic waste harms cows and pollutes the environment, urging people to switch to eco-friendly practices. He appealed to citizens to show kindness to all living beings, reminding them that divinity resides in every creature. “If people love and protect all life forms, they will truly receive the blessings and grace of Lord Ganesha,” he said.

The initiative was carried out under the guidance of trustee Debaki Behera Dash, with support from other members including Shri Behera, Natasha Ray, Kamal Kumar Behera, Satyajit Muduli, Santosh Parida, Sonika Panda, Poonam Singh, Sushree Sangita Raut, and Rajlaxmi Khuntia.

The campaign beautifully combined faith with responsibility, conveying that Ganesh Chaturthi is not only about rituals but also about embracing compassion, protecting animals, and caring for nature.
