Leopard skin smuggling bid foiled by Odisha crime branch in Boudh, one arrested

Kantamal, Nov 22: In a major crackdown, a joint team of the Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch and Kantamal Forest Division officials on Monday foiled a deal of sale of leopard skin at Ghantapada under Kantamal police limits in Boudh district.
Reportedly, a wildlife smuggler has been detained while striking a deal with a prospective buyer.
Acting on a tip-off, the officials conducted a raid at Ghantapada under Kantamal police limits and arrested the wildlife smuggler.
Further investigation into the incident is underway in this regard.
