Bhubaneswar: BJP State secretary Lekhashree Samantsinghar on Wednesday severely criticised the ranks and the files of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for the incident of Brahmapur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahoo slapping a party worker in public in Gajapati district yesterday.
“The BJD supremo, who is also the Chief Minister, is preaching for addition of the word “Ahimsa” to the Preamble of the Constitution of India. He is also teaching his party leaders to be nonviolent. But the reality is different. The incident of Brahmapur MP slapping a party worker in the public shows how leaders behave with common people,” ridiculed Samantsinghar.
Notably, a video in the social media says that MP Sahu slapped a BJD worker, Sangram Sahu, during a Gajapati BJD executive meeting held yesterday. Sahu got angry as Sangram handed over a napkin, given to him by some other worker, to the MP on the stage.
