Bhubaneswar, Sep 10: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida today said that women who were previously excluded from the Subhadra scheme due to technical issues will soon be included and receive their entitled benefits.
The scheme, designed to empower women through financial assistance, has faced challenges in reaching all eligible beneficiaries.
“Several eligible women have missed out on support under the Subhadra scheme due to technical errors. We are now reviewing factors such as ration card details, updated KYC information, and other necessary documents to ensure no genuine beneficiary is left behind,” said Parida following a review meeting held at Lok Seva Bhawan.
Ahead of the meeting, the Women and Child Development Department had requested detailed reports from three key departments: Commerce and Transport, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, and Health.
The Transport Department was asked to identify women who own four-wheelers, the Health Department was responsible for verifying records to remove deceased individuals from the beneficiary list, and the Food Supplies Department was instructed to examine land records of women who had sold paddy.
Based on the reports provided, Parida led a discussion on corrective measures to include all deserving women in the scheme.
She assured that, following thorough verification, all previously overlooked eligible women will be added to the Subhadra scheme and receive their due support.
