Leader of Opposition raps the govt for deteriorating law and order situation

Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: Leader of Opposition Pradipta Kumar Naik today expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Raising the issue during the zero hour today Naik said that valuables are being snatched during the broad day light. People here are feeling unsafe. Threat calls are coming to Jiban Chaitanya Maharaj od Jaleshpatta Ashram in Kandhamal, who has been the in-charge of the Ashram after the death of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati. The police have nabbed the caller but it has not caught the mastermind. Police could arrest the prime accused of the Anjana Mishra gangrape case after 22 years. However, it has not been able to nab the prime accused of Swami Laxmanananda murder case yet, deplored the Opposition leader. The state has set up inquiry commissions one after another. Even though the government has made the reports public the fate of the reports is not known, said Naik.
