Lady teacher missing case: Gobind Sahu's car seized

Bhawanipatna, Oct 19: In a recent development in the escape of Gobinda Sahu, a car registered in his name has been seized in Sindhekela in Balangir district. Gobinda Sahu, who is accused of kidnapping teacher Mamita Meher of the school at Mahaling in Kalahandi district, fled while he was detained in Titlagarh police barrack in Balangir district. It is suspected that Mamita was taken in that car from Chandatora Chhak in Balangir on October 8 morning. Police have the CCTV footage in which Sahu can be seen traveling in the vehicle with Mamita. Meanwhile, police have sealed the stadium of the school and dug up the ground. A scientific team, senior police officers and district magistrate visited the stadium on Tuesday. The relatives of Mamita were also present in the stadium at the time. Notably, lady teacher Mamita Meher has been missing for the last 11 days. The family members of the lady teacher alleged that Sahu used to force the women employees at the school to keep illicit relationships with him. Bunty, the victim’s brother had accused Sahu of being directly involved in Mamata’s missing as she had threatened to expose Sahu.
