Jharsuguda, April 21: At a time, while India stays at home to curb the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), thousands of doctors and healthcare workers across the nation are fighting from the frontline against the deadly virus. They are working round the clock along with police and other emergency services to eliminate the disease, risking their own lives.
In Odisha’s Jharsugda district, a lady Home Guard, namely Chandrika Singh posted at Laikera police station in the district has left her three-month-old baby at home and performing the COVID-19 lockdown duties.
The information was shared by the Jharsuguda SP on Twitter.
“One lady Home Guard named Chandrika Singh of Laikera PS has been performing her duty by leaving her 3-month-old child at home to ensure lockdown enforcement. We encourage her for dedication towards work spirit,” the SP shared on the micro-blogging site.
Earlier, a lady copy who has been deployed on coronavirus management duty has postponed her wedding to perform COVID-19 duty, which was scheduled on April 25.
