Labourer dies in Kalinga Nagar Tata Steel Plant in Jajpur

Jajpur, Aug 25: A contractual labourer has died in Tata Steel falling from a lift at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur on Wednesday. The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained so far. Sources said, A group of labourers were working in the pellet plant of Tata Steel in the afternoon. Meanwhile, a labourer fell down from the lift and died on the spot. Being informed Kalinga Nagar police visited to the spot and initiated primary inquest. Subsequently, the body was seized from the spot and sent for postmortem. An UD case has been registered in this connection. Effort is on to ascertain the identity of the deceased, said police.
