Kudos to Puri police: Kidnapped minor girl rescued within 6 hours

Nimapada, Jan 10: A minor girl was rescued late last night within 6 hours after she was allegedly abducted by unidentified miscreants in Puri district. According to police, a minor girl of Chanaghara area in Pipili block went missing last evening. Her family members searched in the localities and contacted relatives to find the girl, but in vain. Later, they filed a missing complaint at Balanga police station. On receiving the complaint police swung into action. A team headed by Puri Superintendent of Police (SP) conducted a search operation and raided several places. The police rescued the minor girl at around 3 am last night from a house in Delanga area. The miscreants were planning to send the girl to Kolkata city in West Bengal, said police.
