Koraput: One arrested for raping woman on pretext of employment

Koraput, Oct 28: Koraput Town police has arrested a youth on Thursday, on the charges of raping a woman on the pretext of providing her job. The accused has been identified as Tusharkanta Turuku, a native of Burja village under Laxmipur police limit. Sources said, Tushar lured a woman to the Ambika hotel assuring her a job. Subsequently, he housed her in a suit of the hotel and raped her after serving alcohol with food. Meanwhile, the woman alerted her husband regarding the whole ordeal with her. Acting on it, police was immediately informed by him. Basing on the complaint, police conducted a raid at room no 106 and rescued the victim. At the same time, the accused was arrested under different Sections of the Criminal Procedure Code.
