Bhubaneswar, Oct 13: In a major push to promote Odisha’s indigenous product, Koraput Coffee will be served at official government meetings and included in commemorative gift hampers distributed during government programmes.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the initiative in a post on social media platform X, stating that the state government is committed to promoting Koraput Coffee and establishing its distinct identity at the national level.

Under the initiative, all government departments, corporations and field offices have been urged to prioritise serving Koraput Coffee during official meetings. The coffee will also be included in gift hampers prepared for various government events and programmes.

The move aims to expand the reach of Koraput Coffee while creating new market opportunities for tribal coffee growers, particularly women producers. It is also expected to strengthen their livelihoods and improve their economic prospects.

The initiative reflects the state government’s efforts to showcase Odisha’s indigenous products, support tribal communities and enhance the visibility of Koraput Coffee in national markets.
