Konark, Jun 30: The iconic Konark Sun Temple, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, continues to captivate visitors with its stunning stone architecture and intricate carvings. In a bid to enrich the experience for tourists, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has introduced a digital initiative at the site.
A QR code scanner has been installed in front of the Jagamohana, allowing visitors to access the temple’s rich history and view high-resolution images of its detailed artwork directly on their mobile phones. This move is aimed at providing an interactive and informative experience for tourists.
Entry to the Sun Temple is permitted upon presenting either online or offline tickets. To streamline the flow of visitors, separate pathways have been designated for entry and exit.
