Know Woman Achiever of Odisha 'Swagatika' - a tribal girl who made her way to Bollywood

Bhubaneswar, Mar 8: Swagatika Kuanr, a tribal girl from a nondescript village of Balangir district has proved herself in the most challenging entertainment industry Bollywood. She has won the ‘Women Achievers of Odisha’ (WAO) at a program organised jointly by the Odia daily The Prameya, news channel News7 and Preservation, Propagation and Restoration of Ancient Culture and Heritage of India (PPRACHIN) run by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan, a Deemed to be University here on the occasion of the International Women’s Day. She broke the glass ceiling winning the crown in several fashion shows and was even chosen to act in two short films. Though the journey was not so easy but her indomitable ambition and perseverance made the way to reach there. An indigenously hilly girl not apparelled with the modern clad, Swagatika has own many a crown in fashion shows. She has walked many ramps starting from suburbs to the cities proving her talent.  Mean while, she has signed for two Bollywood short films and is voyaging for the shooting tech in Dehradun very shortly.  {"id":101136,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} Swagatika is the daughter to Ramabati and Sudarshan Kuanr, an aborigine of Santipada village under Balangir district. Swagatika’s own inherence has blossomed with the moral support of her parents. Her inclination for dance, drama and traditional & typical costume has ranked her in a high altitude in these realms.    Now she is a +3 first year student of Binapani Degree College, Patnagarh in Humanity stream with combination of Political science. Apart from doing well at studies Swagatika has excelled as a ramp-cat.
