Patana, Mar 31: A minor girl was found hanging from a tree near Chakundapal Mundasahi under Turumunga police limits in Keonjhar district today.

The deceased has been identified as Bilasini Munda of Purunia village.

According to reports, the minor girl was residing at her uncle place. On Wednesday morning, some local residents spotted the hanging body and alerted her family members, who later informed the police.

Later, the police reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem.

The exact reason behind her death is yet to be known, however police investigation will reveal if it is a suicide or murder, said a local resident.
