Karnataka police picks up fraudster from Dhenkanal on charge of duping Rs 12.5 lakh

Dhenkanal, Oct 10: Karnataka police has picked up a youth from Dhenkanal town on Sunday, for allegedly duping of Rs 12.5 lakh from a man of Karnataka. The accused has been identified as Somnath Rout, a native of Dalabhaga village under Khuntuni police limit. Sources said Somnath had established a fake company named 'India Shine Goods and Infra Private Ltd'. However,  he was managing the company fraudulently, acting himself as Deepak Sharma. Meanwhile, Somnath duped Rs 12.5 lakh from one Dimmapa Bhatt of Karnataka. Basing on the complaint of Bhatt, Karnataka police had registered a cyber-fraud case on August 5. Acting on it, a team of Karnataka police picked up Somnath from his rented house at Station bazaar, Dhenkanal with the help of local police today. A laptop, four mobiles, ATM card and savings bank account of Somnath have been seized in connection with the case.
