Bhubaneswar: Cooperation Minister Surjya Narayan Patro today said that the beneficiaries under the recently launched the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augumentation (KALIA) scheme would get monetary assistance by January 26.
“Beneficiaries under the newly launched KALIA scheme will get monetary assistance by January 26. Funds will be directly credited to the bank accounts of 12.4 lakh farmers,” said Patro.
He said that the farmers who have recently applied will get assistance after proper verification.
Meanwhile, the State Government extended the deadline for submission of application forms for enrolment or exclusion in the scheme till January 15, to help farmers.
Earlier, the Government had fixed January 10 as the deadline for the first phase of enrolment in the scheme.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had launched the scheme to provide financial, livelihood and cultivation support along with insurance support to small, marginal and landless farmers.
Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 (Rs 5,000 each kharif and rabi seasons) will be given to the family of every small and marginal farmer in the State.
