Bhawanipatna, Jan 8:The Inspector In-Charge (IIC) of Jaipatna police station, Basudev Chhatria has been stabbed by an accused on Saturday. The cop has been rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The accused has been identified as Kulamani Rath who is a staffer of Odisha Hydro Power Corporation(OHPC), said police. {"id":158676,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} Sources said Kulamani was wanted by Jaipatna police in connection with assaulting his son with a sword. Based on the complaint lodged by the victim, Jaipatna IIC, Basudev Chhatria conducted a raid at Kulamani’s house at night. Meanwhile, Kulamani stabbed the IIC with a knife. As a result, he sustained critical injuries on his face. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and shifted the IIC to Bhawanipatna hospital for resuscitation.
