Bhubaneswar, July 4:  The parents of Ruchika Mohanty, a +3 first year student of BJB Autonomous College, who committed suicide on Saturday, are staging protest in front of the college since last night demanding justice for their daughter.       

The deceased student’s father has demanded that, the accused students should be arrested as the suicide note of Ruchika revealed that she was a victim of ragging by three of her seniors.                                                         

Various student organizations including Naba Nirman Chhatra Sangathan have joined the protest along with Ruchika’s parents. They are demanding an investigation into the suicide case and action against the culprits.

The note recovered during the inquest corroborated the abetment to suicide angle. Police have registered a case under Section 306 of the IPC and investigating further.
