Mayurbhanj, Dec 29: In a tragic incident, a junior engineer at Rural Development Department under Tiring block of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district was reportedly killed in a bee attack today.

The deceased has been identified as Bishwanath Murmu (35), a native of Tulasi Chaura area under Baripada municipality and residing at Rairangpur.

As per reports, Murmu was about to travel to Tiring from his official residence when a swarm of bees stung him following which he fell unconscious.

He was rescued by some locals and rushed to Rairangpur Sub-Divisional Hospital in a critical condition. Unfortunately, he died while undergoing treatment.
