Nuapada, Dec 20: Vigilance sleuths today arrested Tara Charan Panda, junior accountant of Nuapada Civil Supplies Office. Panda was caught with unaccounted cash Rs 2.16 lakh on Sunday. Officials said that Panda was intercepted on NH 353 in Nuapada. “Panda has been detained for further interrogation after he could not give any satisfactory answers towards the possession of the money. Further investigation in the case is continuing,” said an official. “The amount has been recovered from his possession. He is being examined further in this case. Searches have been launched at three places in Nuapada, Koraput and Ganjam district,” added the official.
