Jio tops 4G speed chart in Sep with 20.9 Mbps average download speed: TRAI

New Delhi / Bhubaneswar, Oct 21: Reliance Jio once again topped the 4G download speed chart as it recorded highest 20.9 Mbps average download speed in the month of September 2021, as per the 4G speed data published by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

This was followed by Vodafone Idea with 14.4 Mbps average 4G download speed and Airtel with 11.9 Mbps average download speed in the month.

Similarly, in average upload speed Vodafone Idea clocked 7.2 Mbps in September, followed by Reliance Jio with 6.2 Mbps and Airtel with 4.5 Mbps average download speed in the month.

In Odisha, as per the data published by TRAI on its MySpeed portal, Reliance Jio topped with 33 Mbps average 4G download speed followed by Vodafone Idea with 7.1 Mbps and Airtel with 5 Mbps average 4G download speed in the state. Similarly, in average 4G upload speed in Odisha Jio topped the speed chart with 7.8 Mbps upload speed followed by Vodafone Idea which recorded 7.6 Mbps and Airtel which recorded 3 Mbps average 4G upload speed in Odisha, revealed the data published by TRAI.

It may be noted that the average speed is computed by Trai based on the data it collects across India with the help of its MySpeed application on a real-time basis.
