Delhi, July 23: The Steel Major Jindal Steel & Power Limited now becomes Jindal Steel Ltd.
In order to promote the Steel Sector to a new and further elevated horizon, the conglomoreate has rebranded its trade name the Jindal Steel & Power Limited as Jindal Steel Ltd.
The new brand name officially came to force from July 22 following the approval of government of India.
According to sources, following the approval from the Registrar of Companies, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, the steel & power tycoon will continue as a Limited Company with steel as is major produce.
The new name reinforces clarity of identity, both within India and globally.
This change has been effected in accordance with Rule 29 of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014.
However, there are no changes to the Company's Corporate Identication (CCI) Number.
As per the company profile, the Jindal Steel has a dominant presence in steel, mining, and infrastructure sectors in India and overseas.
According to the government database, the company is among the top six steel manufacturing entities in India.
