JEE Main 2021 May session postponed for Covid surge

New Delhi, May 4: Keeping view of the surge in Covid-19 cases in the country, the National Testing Agency, has postponed the JEE(Main) 2021 May session, which was scheduled to be held on 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 of this month, informed an official statement today. However, the April Session of the JEE(Main) scheduled on April 27, 28, and 30 has already been postponed due to the resurgence of Covid-19 cases. The rescheduling of the April and May sessions will be done after taking stock of the situation, said the statement. The registration for the May Session will also be announced at a later stage. In the meantime, candidates are advised to use this time to prepare themselves better for the examination. Notably, JEE (Main) examinations are held four sessions out of which two of these sessions have already been completed. Session 1 was held from 23 to 26 February this year while Session 2 was held from 16 to 18 March. As many as 620978 candidates appeared in Session 1 whereas 556248 candidates appeared for Session 2.
