Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij get death threat , file police complaint against their cook

Mumbai, July 1: Television host-actor Jay Bhanushali and his wife, actress, Mahhi Vij filed a police complaint against their cook on Thursday. According to the FIR, their temporary cook allegedly threatened to kill them and their two-year-old daughter Tara. Mahhi took to her Twitter handle to share a chain of tweets sharing her experience. Although she deleted the tweets later that day, she did come forward to speak about the incident. In her tweets, Mahhi revealed that her cook, who was hired a few days ago, was stealing things from their house. Being scared for herself and her family, the actress informed about it to cops. According to Mahhi, the man threatened to stab her with a khanjar. In an interview, Mahhi mentioned that the cook was hired just three days ago and they got to know that he was stealing from them. “When Jay came, he wanted to settle the bill but the cook demanded to be paid for the entire month. When Jay tried to reason out, he said ‘200 bihari laake khada kar dunga’ (I’ll get 200 people outside your house). He got drunk and started hurling abuses at us. We went to the cops. I don’t care if anything happens to me, but I was scared for my daughter,” said Mahhi. The couple filed a police complaint against the cook, but later he got out on bail. Mahhi said that she is now scared for her family’s safety. Jay and Mahhi got married in 2011, and they became parents to daughter Tara in August 2019.
