Cuttack, Jan 21: Jammu & Kashmir scripted a magnificent win against host Odisha in the ongoing Ranji Trophy at Driems Ground in the city. The win has placed the team in the top of points table in Elite Group C while Odisha is placed in the second place.
The home team resume their second innings from 136 for the loss of seven wickets and were bundled out on 166. Chasing a target of 204, Jammu & Kashmir lost two wickets for 39 and the hosts were hoping for a strong comeback.
However, a patient half century by Suryansh Raina kept the hopes alive for Jammu & Kashmir. Odisha bowlers managed to take wickets in regular intervals and the visiting team lost their sixth wicket on 163.
Abdul Samad and Aquib Nabi stitched a partnership of 42 to reach the target with four wickets remaining. Nabi was adjudged as the man of the match for taking seven wickets and scoring 49 in the match.
