Inter-state dacoity gang busted in Ganjam, five nabbed

Khallikote, June 28: Khallikote police of Ganjam district arrested as many as five inter-state hardcore criminals and seized arms and ammunition from their possession. The arrested criminals have been identified as Maheshwar Sahu of Sankuda village under Kodala police limits, Hota alias Silu of Athagad Patna under Kabisuryanagar police limits, Ram Chandra Jena of Angargaon village under Kodala police limits, Dillip Palai of Baliasaura village under Kabisuryanagar police station and Manoj Swain of Khojapalli village under Khalikote police limits. Police have seized five pistols, eight magazines, 13 round bullets, five bombs from their possession. Khalikote police station in-charge Jagannath Malick and his staff raided and nabbed the five criminals while they were planning a loot on National Highway near Badaghati at midnight of Monday. More than 50 cases have been registered in various police stations in the name of Dillip Palai in Kabisuryanagar police limits. Similarly, Manoj Swain of Khallikot police limits has more than seven cases.
