Nayagarh, Oct 20: Four members of an inter-district gang of looters were arrested last night, police said.

Itamati police has recovered a country-made fire arm, six live bullets, sharp weapons and a vehicle from the spot during raid.

The arrested have been identified as Srinibash Pallei, Murali Behera, Ganesh Pradhan and Laxmidhar Parida of Inamati area, said Nayagarh SDPO.

Three cases were pending against them at Itamati police station.

They used to loot vehicles at gunpoint and sell them in other districts. They also used to steal goats from villagers at night.
