Bhubaneswar: The intensity of rainfall will decrease in Odisha from tomorrow, informed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday. “Rain will continue to lash Odisha today, but the amount of rainfall will decrease from tomorrow. Some places will receive very heavy rainfall,” said IMD DG Mrutyunjay Mohapatra. As Chhattisgarh will experience maximum rain, it will impact the level of water in Mahanadi and its tributaries, he added. The IMD said a low pressure area formed over North Bay of Bengal became well marked over northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha and West Bengal coasts today. The well marked low pressure is likely to concentrate into a depression during next 12 hours. Under influence of the above system, several districts in Odisha are likely to receive intense spell of rainfall today. The IMD issued red warning for 10 districts, orange warning for 11 districts and yellow warning for 9 districts of Odisha for today.
