Jharsuguda, June 11: Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given permission for the installation of Instrument Landing System (ILS) at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda district.
Sources said, the city witnesses low visibility and bad weather conditions for most part of the year. Following which, scheduled flights often get delayed or even cancel too.
The passengers expressed dissatisfaction over the incident and demanded the installation of ILS that will help the planes to land easily during difficult weather conditions like heavy rains and winters.
The planes will be able to land easily even if the visibility is 800 metre once the ILS becomes operational, said the airport authorities.
