India’s Omicron tally reaches 4,461; Maharastra, Rajasthan worst hit states

New Delhi, Jan 11: India has so far reported a total of 4,461 Omicron cases, the Health Ministry said today. The Omicron cases have been reported across 28 states and union territories.

According to the reports, Maharastra has reported the highest number of Omicron cases with 1247, followed by Rajasthan (645), Delhi (546), Karnataka (479) and Kerala (350).

Worth mentioning, Omicron was first reported in South Africa on November 24. India’s first two cases of the Omicron variant were reported in Karnataka on December 2.
