India women to chase historic bronze in hockey at Tokyo Olympics

New Delhi, Aug 5: India women’s team captain Rani Rampal is confident that the team will try its best to bag the bronze in Tokyo Olympics. Rampal said that the team has played remarkably well in the ongoing Olympics. “We lost the semi-final match against Argentina despite playing well. We have still a chance to win the bronze and create history. We will give all efforts to secure a medal,” she said. India will face Great Britain in the bronze medal match will which will begin at 7:00 AM IST on Friday. The match will be played at Oi Hockey Stadium North Pitch, Tokyo, Japan. Indian women’s team had qualified for the Olympic Games semi-finals for the first time in history, after defeating Australia in the quarter-finals. If they win on Friday, this will be their first ever medal.
