Bhubaneswar: The India and West Indies cricket teams arrived in Bhubaneswar today for the third and final one-day international (ODI) to be played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on December 22.
The players arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here in a special aircraft at 1 pm. They reached the team hotel – Mayfair Lagoon – by luxury buses amid heavy security arrangements.
Both the teams will practice at Barabati Stadium on Friday morning and in afternoon session ahead of the third ODI.
As per reports, the India Team would go to the Barabati stadium at 9 am tomorrow for practice and the West Indies Team would do the same at the stadium from 2 pm. They would move to the stadium amid tight security.
Sources said at least 63 platoons of police force and a Rapid Action Force contingent comprising 300 officers have been deployed to maintain law and order. Heavy security were deployed at airport as well as at the hotel after hundreds of cricket fans were gathered outside both the venue to see and welcome their cricketing starts on their arrival in city.
