New Delhi, June 4: Dr. P. K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India, reaffirmed India’s strong commitment to advancing global disaster resilience during the 8th Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction held in Geneva on 3 June 2025.
During the event, Dr. Mishra engaged in meaningful discussions with Ms. Stine Renate Håheim, Norway's Deputy Minister for International Development. The dialogue focused on the critical role of international cooperation in reducing disaster risks and enhancing global preparedness.
Participating in the platform’s opening ceremony, Dr. Mishra underscored India’s proactive and inclusive approach to disaster preparedness and resilience-building. He reiterated India's continued efforts to strengthen global partnerships and support initiatives aimed at creating a safer and more resilient world.
