Odagaon, May 11: In a horrifying incident in Nayagarh district, Odisha, a young man was brutally hacked to death in broad daylight after allegedly trying to stop a laterite stone-laden vehicle. The shocking attack occurred at Kadalibandha under the jurisdiction of Odagaon police station.

The deceased has been identified as Ajit Sahu, a resident of Shilpinagar Sahi, Kadalibandha. According to reports, a heated argument erupted when Ajit attempted to halt the vehicle, after which he was mercilessly attacked with sharp weapons by the miscreants. The assault left the victim dead on the spot, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Following the killing, angry residents staged a road blockade on the Nayagarh-Bhanjanagar road, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and strict action from the administration. Locals expressed outrage at the violence and urged authorities to ensure justice for the slain youth.
