Balasore,July 26: At a time when the FM Autonomous College self-immolation incident is yet to fade away from people's mind and news headlines, a woman reportedly the wife of a Professor of the FM University, Balasore was attempted rape on the campus.
The incident wreaked a shock wave across the state as the victim woman lodged a complaint with the Remuna Police on Saturday.
According to sources, the Police has detained one in this connection based on the woman’s statement.
A rape case has been registered and an investigation into it is underway, said police.
The incident has raised serious concern on the safety & security of women on the campus.
