Bhubaneswar, May 9: In a tragic incident on Saturday, three persons were crushed to death on the Baramunda over bridge in Bhubaneswar.

The incident took place late at night today as a speeding truck hit a scooter carrying three on the Baramunda over bridge of the Capital City.

According to reports, the commuters were heading towards Khordha on a scooter while the truck violently tossed it and vanished from the scene. As a result, all the three those onboard were crushed over and died on the spot.

Identification of the deceased, are yet to be ascertained.

On being informed, the Khandagiri & Nayapalli Police rushed to the scene, seized the bodies and managed the traffic that was almost stalled following furious mishap.

A case has been registered in this connection while the bodies have been sent for autopsy, following primary investigation. Further investigation is underway to track the erring truck, and ascertain details of the deceased ones.
