Bhubaneswar, July 7: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram on Tuesday launched‘TribeX’, a digital learning platform aimed at preserving and promoting tribal arts, culture, languages, traditional knowledge and skill development.

The platform was unveiled during a two-day national workshop on strengthening Tribal Research Institutes (TRIs) in Bhubaneswar. The event was attended by Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey, Dr R Balasubramaniam, Odisha Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Oram said TribeX features a digital academy that will offer free certificate programmes and UGC-aligned diploma courses in various tribal art forms. The platform also includes a heritage archive designed to document and preserve tribal literature, oral traditions, indigenous knowledge systems and cultural practices.

The initiative is expected to serve as a comprehensive digital repository and learning hub, helping promote tribal heritage while creating new opportunities for education and skill development among tribal communities.Bottom of Form
