Train Services Resume in Rayagada’s Tikiri Section After Rainwater Recedes

BHUBANESWAR, July 27: Train services in the Tikiri section of Odisha's Rayagada district have returned to normal after rainwater receded from the railway tracks, East Coast Railway officials said on Monday.

Train operations had been disrupted following incessant heavy rainfall, which led to waterlogging on the railway track between Tikiri and Rauli stations in the Rayagada–Koraput section of East Coast Railway.

Officials said the accumulated water has now completely receded, allowing train movement to resume safely. Railway personnel and engineering teams continuously monitored the situation and carried out the necessary inspections before restoring services.

East Coast Railway confirmed that train operations in the section have been fully normalised, with passenger safety remaining the top priority throughout the restoration process.
