Milkha Singh remains one of the most celebrated figures in the history of running. He secured a famous gold medal in the 440-yard race at the 1958 Commonwealth Games in Cardiff. He finished that specific race with a remarkable time of 46.6 seconds. Two years later, he captivated the globe at the 1960 Rome Olympic Games. He set an impressive National Record by clocking 45.6 seconds in the 400m final.
