Sexual harassment to Class IX girl: HM & Maths Teacher in Balasore detained

Balasore, July 21:Yet in a harrowing incident, a high school Headmaster and the Maths teacher were detained in Balasore on Monday for allegedly sexually harassing a Class IX girl student of the school.
The accused teachers are identified as Kailash Chandra Bej(TGT Maths) and Bhabani Shankar Pal, PN High School, at Chamar village under the Raibania Police limit.
According to the complaint filed by the girl’s parents, Maths teacher Bej had been allegedly harassing their ward since last three months with ugly and subtle indications towards her. He also threatened to fail in the exams, if she expresses something regarding it elsewhere.
Similarly, the parents alleged that the HM did not respond to their allegations, as they deposed before him regarding their girl’s ordeal.
Acting on it, the Raibania Police picked the duo and detained them for interrogation.
A case has been registered in this connection. Investigation is underway, said police.
