Security arrangement to be tightened for Kartika Purnima at Puri Jagannath Temple: Central Range DIG

 

Bhubaneswar/Puri, October 6, 2025: Ahead of the auspicious Kartika Purnima, Central Range DIG Dr. Satyajit Naik visited the Puri Jagannath Temple on Monday to review the security arrangements and overall preparations. Accompanied by SP Puri, Prateek Singh, and other senior officials,

Dr. Naik conducted a thorough inspection of the force deployment and measures in place to ensure a safe and smooth darshan for the devotees.

The security setup for the event includes a robust force of 24 platoons, 4 Additional SPs, 15 DSPs/ACs, 14 Inspectors, 65 Sub-Inspectors, 18 Havildars, 99 Constables, and 44 Lady Home Guards.

Dr. Naik emphasized the significance of maintaining law and order, effective crowd control, and providing assistance to the pilgrims. He urged the public to cooperate with the police and adhere to the guidelines for a peaceful and orderly celebration.

Assuring a secure environment for the devotees, Dr. Naik called on the community to follow all safety protocols and participate in the festivities with devotion and enthusiasm.
