Puri station upgradation: Extension of short termination/origination of train services

Bhubaneswar, May 13: Continuing with the ongoing infrastructure upgradation works at Puri Railway Station under Khurda Road Division, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has extended the arrangement of short termination and short origination of several coaching train services during May 2026.

The temporary regulation of train services is being implemented in connection with the platform upgradation and allied infrastructure development works at Puri Station aimed at enhancing passenger amenities, operational efficiency and handling capacity at the important pilgrimage destination.

As part of the extended regulation plan, several trains will continue to remain short terminated and short originated at Malatipatapur, Sakhi Gopal and Khurda Road stations on specified dates during May 2026.

The following train services will remain short terminated/short originated as detailed below:

AT MALATIPATAPUR
* 12146 Puri–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 19th & 26th May 2026.
* 12145 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Puri Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 17th & 24th May 2026.
* 12993 Gandhidham–Puri Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 15th, 22nd & 29th May 2026.
* 12994 Puri–Gandhidham Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 18th & 25th May 2026.
* 15643 Puri–Kamakhya Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 23rd & 30th May 2026.
* 15644 Kamakhya–Puri Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 21st & 28th May 2026.
* 22973 Gandhidham–Puri Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 20th & 27th May 2026.
* 22974 Puri–Gandhidham Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 23rd & 30th May 2026.
* 17480 Tirupati–Puri Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 26th, 27th, 29th & 30th May 2026.
* 17479 Puri–Tirupati Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 17th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 27th, 28th, 29th & 31st May 2026.
* 22201 Sealdah–Puri Duranto Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 18th, 20th, 22nd, 25th, 27th & 29th May 2026.
* 22202 Puri–Sealdah Duranto Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 16th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th & 30th May 2026.
* 22909 Valsad–Puri Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 21st & 28th May 2026.
* 22910 Puri–Valsad Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 17th & 24th May 2026.
* 20917 Indore–Puri Humsafar Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 19th & 26th May 2026.
* 20918 Puri–Indore Humsafar Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 21st & 28th May 2026.
* 20472 Puri–Sri Ganganagar Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 20th & 27th May 2026.
* 20471 Sri Ganganagar–Puri Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 17th & 24th May 2026.
* 15640 Kamakhya–Puri Express will short terminate at Malatipatapur on 17th & 24th May 2026.
* 15639 Puri–Kamakhya Express will short originate from Malatipatapur on 19th & 26th May 2026.

The following trains will remain short terminated/short originated at Sakhigopal station from 16th to 31st May 2026.
* 18303 Sambalpur–Puri Intercity Express will short terminate at Sakhi Gopal.
* 18304 Puri–Sambalpur Intercity Express will short originate from Sakhi Gopal.

The following trains will remain short terminated/short originated at Khurda Road station from 16th to 31st May 2026.

* 18125 Rourkela–Puri Express will short terminate at Khurda Road.
* 18126 Puri–Rourkela Express will short originate from Khurda Road.
* 68413 Talcher–Puri MEMU will short terminate at Khurda Road.
* 68414 Puri–Talcher MEMU will short originate from Khurda Road.
* 68441 Jaleswar–Puri MEMU will short terminate at Khurda Road.
* 68442 Puri–Jaleswar MEMU will short originate from Khurda Road.

Free bus services will continue to be provided for bona fide passengers between the affected stations and Puri for the convenience of passengers during the period of temporary regulation.

Passengers are advised to check the latest train running status through NTES and official railway enquiry services before commencement of their journey.
