OTET-2026 to be held on June 28; over 97,000 candidates to appear

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)-2026, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, is scheduled to be held on June 28. A total of 97,151 candidates, including fresh applicants and in-service teachers, have registered for the examination.

Cuttack, June 17: The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)-2026, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, is scheduled to be held on June 28. A total of 97,151 candidates, including fresh applicants and in-service teachers, have registered for the examination.

According to BSE President Srikanta Tarai, admit cards have been made available from today and can be downloaded from the Board’s official website using the registered mobile number and password submitted during the application process.

Of the total applicants, 84,625 are regular candidates, while 13,584 are in-service teachers. To facilitate the examination, the Board has identified 311 centres across all 30 districts of the state.

Stringent security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a fair and transparent examination process. All examination centres will be monitored through CCTV surveillance. In a bid to prevent question paper leaks and maintain confidentiality, question papers will be transmitted from the Board headquarters to examination centres through a digital locker system.

The examination will be conducted in two sessions on the same day. Paper-I will be held from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, while Paper-II is scheduled from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The 150-mark examination will be conducted using OMR sheets.
